ShopMagic 2.8 took us quite a long time, but with 2.9 we are back on track 🙂 It’s been merely a week and we are coming back with a brand new release. This time we also bring you one of the most requested features: action queue and outcomes (which is our name for human-readable logs).
And now you see everything
When we talked to our customers (this means you!), we often heard: ShopMagic is great, but how do I know if it works? You’ve set up your automations and now how to find out if they are actually sent?
Now you know:
Outcomes are ShopMagic logs which you can use to check which actions were fired and when, if it was email, to whom it was sent and a few more handy things.
So next time when you are wondering if ShopMagic works, just head on to your WordPress dashboard and select Outcomes from the ShopMagic menu. You’ll see the list of all actions performed by ShopMagic since the outcomes feature was introduced.
Please note, that you won’t see outcomes of past actions fired before you upgraded to ShopMagic 2.9.
Queue
OK, so outcomes handle all performed actions. What about future actions? This is where the queue helps:
In the queue you’ll see a list of all future actions that were scheduled. This is especially useful if you delay your emails, but it can also be useful in other situations, because all ShopMagic actions are queued with the use of Action Scheduler since ShopMagic 2.1.
Unless you decided to skip the queue (which you can, by the way), all actions are added to the queue until they are fired.
If you decided to turn off adding actions to the queue, they won’t show up there (which is obvious, right?).
