A new version of ShopMagic has just arrived! In this release we focused on connecting with our users (this means you!). Additionally we added 2 new actions which were requested by our more advanced users: Raw HTML and Plain Text Emails. Read more to find out all about ShopMagic 2.2.
Raw HTML Emails
Some of our advanced users have their HTML templates which they want to send instead of using the default WooCommerce template. While you could choose not to use a template in the Send Email action, some of the HTML tags still got removed when the contents were sanitized by the WordPress editor.
That’s why we now included a new action: Send Email – Raw HTML which gives you the ability to enter a fully customized HTML to your email and send it without any alterations.
Plain Text Emails
While I think this will be one of the most niche features of ShopMagic, we’ve also added a second new action: Send Email – Plain Text, which allows you to send a true plain text emails to your customers or co-workers.
New placeholder: order.admin_url
We’ve also added a new placeholder that links to the order edit page in admin panel: {{ order.admin_url }}.
Shortocdes support in email content
While we do not support WP shortcodes out-of-the box in ShopMagic, you can add this filter to your functions.php in your theme to enable shortcodes in email content:
add_filter( 'shopmagic/core/action/sendmail/raw_message', 'do_shortcode' );
What’s next in ShopMagic 2.3?
This is it! Now we are working on ShopMagic 2.3 with improved filters, new additions to our Review Requests add-on and a brand new Customer Coupons add-on. All of these goodies will be available in the beginning of May. Stay tuned!
